Rose who is fluent in English & Italian has over 25 years experience in real estate profession in both British Columbia and Ontario specializing in Residential, Industrial, Commercial and Investment Properties, Land Assembly and Development as well as Project Marketing. Licensed in both Ontario & British Columbia she is a Broker with RE/MAX Aboutowne Realty Corp, Oakville, Ontario. She is also affiliated with R&L Marketing Strategies Group which offers project marketing services to developers and builders with marketing services available for new residential, town homes or condominium projects. She holds the Registered Relocation Specialist designation and is a member of CCIM Western Canada. Rose works with local and international clients on projects of varied size and magnitude.
Mr. Dean Lapointe, Director.
Dean Lapointe has a broad range of experience during his 32 years in the real estate industry in Vancouver, British Columbia. He began his career as a realtor for a National Company following which he worked as a market research analyst in the US. He then became the manager for a new division of investment, commercial and industrial properties for National Trust Realty. During the 15 years that he ran Lapointe and Associates Realty he became an Appraiser. Following a stint as Leasing Director for the Vancouver World Trade Centre, he became the senior Vice President and Nominee of a small I.C and I company - within 4 years this company was the 2nd largest in B.C. Dean is currently with Coldwell Banker Legend Real Estate Group, in Vancouver, BC. The French Real Estate Federation (FNAIM), the largest professional real estate organization in Europe has appointed Dean as an International Advisor.

Ursula has been the President of FIABCI-Canada (Federation of International Real Estate) among the top Whistler real estate agent and won awards including RE/MAX Hall of Fame and MLS Medallion Club. She is also a member of The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing with the achievement of the Million Dollar Guild (CLHMS), recognized as an "exceptional agent" in the Wall Street Journal and Barron's. Mr. Carlos Sousa B.A., Director
Carlos Sousa, B.A. Sociology (Honours) has been a Realtor with Sutton Group-Associates Realty in Toronto for the past 10 years. Previously he completed a Commercial Apprenticeship in Berlin with Siemens Gesellschaft. A Chapter Director since 2005 he has attended World Congress and International events. He also represented the Chapter as a member of the Legislation and Environment Committee at the FIABCI Business Meetings in Brussels (2005) and West Palm Beach (2006). He has received his Transnational Referral Certification from the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Carlos who speaks Portuguese, English and French has been an active and dedicated volunteer in numerous community multi-cultural projects and is a recipient of the Ontario Lieutenant Governor General's Volunteer Award. Ms. Randi Emmott, Director
Randi Emmott, a FIABCI member since 1994, has been in the real estate field for over 30 years after spending 10 years as a nurse in the emergency department of a busy hospital in Toronto. She lives and works in her main service area, the north west area of Toronto which is an easy commute to downtown. Randi specializes in personal and corporate relocations and is a member of the Canadian Employee Relocation Council. Ms. Margaret Liu, Director
Margaret Liu has served for many years as a Director before her 2006 Chapter Presidency. A Broker with Sincere Realty Inc., Brokerage for the past 23 years, she has specialized in the sale of Commercial Investment Properties, including Shopping Centers, Apartment Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Hotels and other investment properties. As a committed and active member of FIABCI for the last 20 years, Ms. Liu has attended 23 World Congresses and more than a dozen Asia Pacific Conferences and developed a large network of international contacts. Ms. Liu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and completed a Post-Graduate Executive Management Program. She is a Certified Real Estate Specialist of the Real Estate Institute of Canada, a Member of the Commercial Division of the Toronto Real Estate Board and also an Accredited Professional Manager of the Canadian Institute of Management. In addition, Ms. Liu is a Member of the Toronto Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women, an international organizatioon for women practitioners in commercial real estate, as well as being a long standing member of both the Canadian Real Estate Association and the Ontario Real Estate Association. Ms. Betty Fitzpatrick, FRI, CRA,CRB, Director
Betty is based in Fredericton, New Brunswick and is a highly respected and prominent figure in the Atlantic provinces real estate community. A long time participant in FIABCI at the national and international level she has served as Director and President both of the New Brunswick Real Estate Association and the Fredericton Real Estate Board. In addition she chaired the New Brunswick Real Estate Council and is a past director of the Canadian Real Estate Association. An Associate Broker with Century 21 All Seasons Realty of Woodstock, NB., her real estate career spans some thirty years. An avid salmon conservationist she is a licensed fishing and hunting guide, considered a useful asset when marketing sporting and recreational properties.
Mr. Jerry England, ABRM, Secretary-General - Canadian Chapter.
A past President of the Canadian Chapter, Mr. England is a Licenced Real Estate Broker in Ontario. He is a past Director and two term President of the Toronto Real Estate Board, Past President of the Mississauga Real Estate Board, a past Director of the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) and has served as a Director for both the Ontario (OREA) and Canadian (CREA) Real Estate Associations. Prior to his real estate career, Jerry had an extensive business career in the United Kingdom and Spain which included owning a building company and holding management positions in the tourism and natural gas industry. Jerry first joined FIABCI-CANADA in 1985 and was a member for several years then after a hiatus re-joined in January 1997. An active volunteer in the real estate industry for the past 33 years he brings a wealth of organizational experience to the administration of the chapter. He was appointed Secretary-General in 2006. Don Kottick, Director
Don is a Broker with Chestnut Park Real Estate Limited, as well as the Executive Vice President, Corporate Development for Peerage Realty Partners. He is a valuable addition to the chapter leadership having worked in the real estate profession for more than 20 years, serving in a number of senior management roles throughout his career. A highly esteemed member of the real estate profession, he is currently a Director of the Canadian Real Estate Association. Don has also served as President of the Real Estate Institute of Canada. Other organizations that have benefited from his support include the YWCA Arise Women and Children’s Shelter, the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity. He most recently served as a Director of the Toronto Real Estate Board, the largest Realtor organization of its type in the world.
Mr. Rick Linklater, President-Elect & Director
After a 22 year career at Sun Life Financial culminating as Director responsible for Asset Management, Leasing, and Property Management in Toronto, Rick took a yearlong sabbatical to teach English at the Hubei University of Economics in Wuhan, China. On returning to Canada he joined Prestigious Properties Canada Ltd. as President, Property Management and VP Asset Management for Prestigious Properties Group of Companies. Since 2008 Rick has owned Orkney Asset Management Ltd. specializing in portfolio management of apartments across Canada and Texas. Rick holds a B.Commerce from the University of Alberta, is a CPM (Certified Property Manager) and is a Canadian Director of the International Real Estate Federation. Rick enjoys working with people and has been involved in the mentorship programs with the REIC Toronto Chapter and the University of Alberta.
Mr. Adrian Schulz, Director & International Committee Member
Adrian Schulz is an accomplished entrepreneur and corporate manager. He is the President and CEO of Imperial Properties, a Winnipeg-based real estate services firm. Having joined FIABCI in 2013, he became a Director with FIABCI Canadian Chapter the same year. Adrian attended the FIABCI European Congress where he has connected with the World Council of Managers. Adrian is currently pursuing his Certified Property Manager (CPM ) designation. He is also the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Actyl Group, a PROFIT HOT50 2012 company and Canada's leader in international workforce solutions, a human resource-consulting firm with offices across Western Canada, and Belize. Adrian was born in Freiburg, Germany and migrated to Canada in 1992; he is fluent in German and English.
Ivy Joan Choachuy-Fong, Director
Ivy Joan is a Commercial Realtor with Royal LePage Your Community specializing in the sale and lease of retail plazas, industrial buildings and investment properties in the Toronto region. She is part of a network and active in the Young Professional Committee of the world’s largest Realtor ® organization, the Toronto Real Estate Board. She recently joined our chapter and is active its expansion focusing on assisting the business development of young real estate professionals at the international level. Ivy Joan is part of a new generation of professionals with a skill set both in technology and marketing. As a volunteer with the Mackenzie Health Foundation, she is involved with fund raising the Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and building the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.
Ms. Nora Valdez, Director
Nora started in the real estate profession in 1992 working for a premier independent brokerage in Mexico City and after two years set up her own office - Nova Bienes Raices -serving the market of Ciudad Satelite and neighbouring suburbs in Mexico City. She studied Business Administration at La Salle University, Mexico City and obtained a Real Estate Diploma at the Anahuac University, Mexico City. Nora emigrated to Vancouver in 2000 and in March 2003 after obtaining her real estate license joined Royal LePage Northshore Brokerage (now Royal LePage Sussex) in West Vancouver where she has been one of the top 10% agents winning the Master Sales award (2004 to 2007)and President’s Gold (2008 and 2009). As well as being a member of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and British Columbia Real Estate Association, Nora has the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation through the National Association of Realtors(NAR). Locally she belongs to the Mexican Business Association of Canada and was a member of its Board of Directors from 2004 to 2008. In 2014 she served as Chapter President and represented the chapter at the World Congress in Taiwan.
Currently Nora works mainly with the Latin American residents in Vancouver as well as with the newcomers helping them with relocation process. Her career has expanded to utilize her expertise and contacts to promote commercial properties, hotels and new development lands in Mexico, Dominican Republic and Latin America.
